Refund & Return Policy

At The Sweet Escape Baking, every order is made with love, care, and a touch of southern sweetness. Because our treats are freshly baked and often customized just for you, we handle refunds and returns a little differently than larger retailers. Please read below to understand how we make things right if something goes wrong.
1. Custom Orders
All custom cakes, cupcakes, and specialty items are made to order just for you. Once work has begun or ingredients have been purchased, custom orders are non-refundable.
If you need to make changes or cancel, please contact us as soon as possible — we’ll do our best to help if baking hasn’t started yet.
2. Standard Orders
For regular menu items or pre-set offerings, cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before pickup or delivery for a full refund. After that point, ingredients and prep are already in progress, so refunds may not be possible.
3. Order Issues or Mistakes
If there’s ever a problem with your order — like a missing item, wrong flavor, or damaged product — please contact us within 24 hours of pickup or delivery. We’ll review what happened and offer a replacement, store credit, or partial refund when appropriate.
We may request a photo of the product to help us understand and improve for next time.
4. Pickup & Delivery Responsibility
Once your sweet treats have left our hands — whether picked up or delivered — we’re no longer responsible for how they’re handled or stored. Please keep your items in a cool, dry place and follow any care instructions provided to maintain freshness and appearance.
5. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take longer for your refund to go through.
6. How to Contact Us
If you have questions about a refund, cancellation, or issue with your order, please reach out — we’ll take care of it as best we can. Customer satisfaction is always the goal and if you're not happy neither am I!
